A platform migration methodology chart. Three phases run left to right — Assessment, Migration and Operations — over six stages: Strategy & Plan, Design, Build, Testing, Manage and Support. Each stage lists its tasks, from assessing dependencies and capturing metadata, through designing the target platform and building the new environment, to build and regression testing, then monitoring-driven optimisation and continuous deployment.

Take Back Control of your data!

Dynamic Consultants Group works to identify any gaps or improvements that need to be addressed in your existing data sources. This is done through data analysis, interpretation and architecture, as well as verifying the completed migration and the data integrity.

The goal of the data migration assessment is to ensure:

  • Everyone is on the same page in the process. An evaluation is necessary to determine what can and will be transferred from your existing system(s) to Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • We get an exact mapping and schedule of the data on the current system(s) that will be moved to Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Everyone understands the complexities which dictate the scope of the data migration.
  • Everything goes smoothly when we migrate your data to your new CRM system.

    Analysis

Where is your data? Where do you want it to be? We work to identify any gaps or improvements that need to be addressed. We analyze your existing data and desired transfer data, as well as verifying the completed trial migration.

    Retrieve

To move your data, you’ll need to collect it first. It will likely be both structured and unstructured, so we’ll have to locate, examine, and define it based on the newly established infrastructure.

What is the process of data migration?

  • Pre-Review and Make Checklist

We will provide a data migration checklist, which helps to gather key information regarding your system prior to the Review and Analysis phase of the project. This will assist in determining the primary areas of focus and identify any areas that need more investigation.

  • Backup and transfer of the data

We will request a backup and transfer of the data that will be migrated with specific backup instructions based on your existing CRM solution. We work with your business needs to efficiently chose a backup process that works best for you.

  • Data mapping and schedule documents

Using the Review and Analysis meeting feedback, we will create the migration and scheduling documents that will be used during the data migration. This is an important step for us and for you. We ensure that we are on the same page throughout the entirety of the migration.

  • Data migration

The final step! Once the migration is tested and the data is checked and approved, we migrate your most current data to your Microsoft Dynamics 365 instance. After Migration, we ensure your business a successful roll-out and are available for questions your team may have.
